Our venue, Hawkesdene, is located in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest near Andrews, North Carolina. We're so excited to celebrate the beginning of our marriage in a beautiful area of the Smoky Mountains. We appreciate your willingness to travel to our semi-destination wedding.
We've booked Hawkesdene for 4 days - September 11, 2025 through September 14, 2025. You are welcome to arrive Thursday, Friday or Saturday depending on your preference. However, we greatly encourage everyone to arrive Thursday or Friday to fully take advantage of what's offered for the weekend!
Roads leading up to the estate are trustworthy and easy to navigate. We recommend arriving while it is still light outside if you can - the mountain roads are winding, and we want everyone to arrive safely. Parking is plentiful and convenient at the estate.
There are a variety of options for air travel to the Smoky Mountains.
If you're interested in a shuttle service from the airport, Andrews has a couple options (here and here) - Caroline and Cooper would be happy to help organize these. There is also plentiful parking if you would prefer to use a rental car for your stay.
*For those arriving by hot air balloon (or airship), please be aware that landing zones are limited.
